FEEA Emergency Alert
By: Nancy Roepke FL Fed. FEEA Coord.
This is a FEEA Emergency Alert for immediate distribution. Pleas distribute to all Fl NARFE members via Internet, District meetings, Chapter meetings and Chapter newsletters.
On the night of Feb. 1 and the early morning of Feb 2 serious violent thunderstorms moved in off the Gulf setting off a series of tornados that cut a devastating swath across several counties of north & east central Florida. We have many federal annuitants living in the areas that have been hit by these tornados. To support these friends we must be sure that the NARFE/FEEA fund is adequately supported. Now is the time for each individual and chapter to contribute to the disaster relief fund.
It is time to get out the
Jan issue of the NARFE magazine and use the NARFE/FEEA contribution form on page
26. If you wish to donate directly to the disaster relief fund you can send your
check made out to FEEA/NARFE Disaster Relief Fund to:
FEEA/NARFE Disaster Relief Fund, 8441 Bowles Ave., Suite 200, Littlton,
CO 80123-9501. DO NOT give money to your Chapter or send it to the
Federation or National Hdqrts. For the disaster relief fund. It must be paid by
the donator directly to the Disaster fund. You can find additional information
on the NARFEFL web site at www.narfefl.org. Just click on FEEA in the left
sidebar.
For those of you who may have suffered losses due to these tornados and may wish to submit a claim for help with an insurance deductible or other loss you will find a NARFE/FEEA claim form at the NARFEFL web site mentioned above. Do not file a claim on a FEEA form as it is a longer and unnecessary form. It must be the short NARFE/FEEA claim form that is on the web site.
